We raise funds to support opera in WA and those pursuing a career in opera.

In 2019 we were able to make a donation of $10,000 to WA Opera's Wesfarmers Young Artist Program

as well as a grant of $1,000 to each of the 2020 Young Artists to assist them with coaching and tuition.

In addition, we have also supported the endeavours of small opera companies and other individuals

via grants for specific projects.

Why do we need you? Well, a vocal score can cost $100; coaching on music and language can be $100 an hour; voice lessons even more. Competitions and auditions charge entry fees, and many are interstate,

so singers need to pay for flights and accommodation.

Of course many singers have jobs - but the more they work the less they sing.

Opera companies, small and large, have huge costs - multiply call rates by 30 in a chorus, 50 in the orchestra; add the publicity, marketing, ticketing, costumes, sets, lighting, insurance...

Your donation keeps this art form alive and kicking - and you are a vital part of the community of opera lovers.
